Manchester United are the main winners again after the latest round of Premier League matches with only Liverpool for company in picking up all three points. The latest member of the - so called - big four to tangle with Everton, United managed to do what Liverpool and Arsenal haven't lately and pick up all three points off them.

With both Arsenal and Villa slipping up on saturday before United had kicked a ball they knew all three points against Everton would leave them in an even stronger position knowing that one or both of their other rivals would have to drop points in Sundays clash.



With Bolton and Stoke the only winners in the bottom half the table is still as close as ever with just 6 points separating the bottom eleven teams in what is becoming one of the most tightly contested relegation battles in years. Middlesbrough slump continued with them only managing a home draw with fellow strugglers Blackburn, that's twelve in the league without a win now for boro. With Newcastle and Pompey continuing their slide down the league though there is still a chance that Gareth Southgate can turn their season around.
