PDC World Darts Championship - Quarter Final Betting, Afternoon Matches

Live today, on Sky Sports 1 at 2pm.

Match 1 - Mark Webster V Co Stompe

The two remaining bookies outsiders for this tournament, both can be backed at 40/1 in the outright winner betting, considering one of them is guaranteed a place in the semi finals, if you could pick the winner you would get some value for money.

Webster is the former BDO World Champion and has only really just found his form on the PDC circuit in this competition, while Stompe is now becoming a serious challenger who cannot be taken lightly, he has a win over Phil Taylor under his belt and that proves he can compete with the big boys.

Mark Webster is 10/11 with Ladbrokes

Co Stompe is Evens with Stan James

Match 2 - James Wade V Simon Whitlock

James Wade is reguarded as a serious contender to win this tournament at 10/1 joint second favourite. If he performs like he did against Andy Hamilton - where he was patchy and inconsistent - he may well come unstuck against Simon Whitlock today. Wade is in the business end of the tournament and must know he needs to up his game if he to go any further.

Simon Whitlock was a bit of a dark horse going into this competition, he's now a serious contender after knocking out the highly rated Terry Jenkins. Consistent on the BDO circuit over recent years, Whitlock looks comfortable back in the BDO and his finishing has been as good as anyones on show over the last two weeks, and as the top players keep pointing out, "it's hitting the doubles that count at this level", and Whitlock has certainly been doing that.

If an under par Wade shows up today, don't be surprised to see Whitlock take this match.

Wade is favourite at 7/10 with Sportingbet

Whitlock can be backed at 6/5 with Sky Bet, William Hill and Bet365

PDC World Championship - Outright Winner Betting 01/01/10

Ahead of today's four quarter final matches the bookies would appear to believe the tournament winner is going to come from the game between Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis, to have Lewis at joint second favourite at 10/1 would suggest he would be a lot shorter if he where not about to take on Taylor.

James Wades has been up and down in his performances of late, if he is to win this he would need to be more consistent, he could easily have lost in the last round to Andy Hamilton, you would imagine a similar performance against Phil Taylor or Barney would only result in defeat.
