All that really remains to be seen here is if or when India will declare. Gautam Gambhir was the star of the third days play scoring 167 of India's runs, his innings killed off any slight chance of a Kiwi fightback. New Zealand's bowlers toiled away all day but during Gambhir's vigil it became clear that the game was up for them and by the time play was called off early for the day they looked ready to pack up anyway.
