Chelsea will be looking to cash in on Liverpools victory over Manchester United yesterday when they take on Man City at Stamford Bridge today, a win for Chelsea today will see them join Liverpool on 61 points, 4 behind United with both having played a game more. Chelsea have a slight injury concern over Nicolas Anelka but have Ricardo Carvalho fit again and in with a chance of making the starting eleven. Manchester City having played on Thursday in the UEFA Cup have injuries of their own to deal with, Craig Bellamy is again missing along with Vincent Kompany and Nigel de Jong making the chances of City's first away win since August look all the more slim.
With Arsenal joining Aston Villa on 52 points yesterday and with a +6 goal difference advantage on them it's time Villa got back to winning ways, recent form though shows that is no certainty today, Villa have struggled of late especially at home whereas Spurs have started to pick up some form and points. The goals seem to have dried up a bit recently for Gabriel Agbonlahor and Emile Heskey was never going to be a prolific scorer either, at the back and from attacking set pieces Villa have badly missed the influential Martin Laursen who is still missing with a knee injury. Spurs are still without both Alan Hutton and Jermain Defoe but should have Ledley King available for selection, in Aaron Lennon they also have one of the Premier League's in form players at the moment and they will be looking to him to take this form into todays game against a Villa defence that must be getting low on confidence.
