2010 General Election Betting

In the lead up to the forthcoming British General Election I will be keeping an eye on the odds as to who will be the outright winner, or 'Win the Most Seats' as some bookmakers may refer to it as.

Every Wednesday evening I will post the best odds as to who the bookies think is most likely to be in 10 Downing Street by May/June time. Also there will be odds as to what date the election will be held and various other specials.

Todays Events

Today, David Cameron got a good hammering at PMQs by Gordon Brown, at times Cameron looked like he had ran out of ideas and things to say in what was his worst performance for a long time at the dispatch box.

At one stage Cameron had no point at all to make and just used up one of his questions to try and ridicule Brown with points about him being washed up and out of touch, this coming after Brown had successfully attacked Cameron over indecisive Tory plans for tax breaks for married couples, in fairness Brown had won hands down.

All this good work was undone later in the afternoon as a new year gift was delivered to David Cameron when the news broke that Patricia Hewitt and Geoff Hoon have called for a secret ballot among Labour MPs on the future of the party leader, ensuring all Thursdays newspaper headlines wouldn't be about PMQs, but Labours apparent suicide.
