Betting Guide
Aston Villa need a win tonight in order to go back into 5th place ahead of Everton who overtook the Villians with their easy 2-0 win over Sunderland yesterday. Villa have occupied the top 5 for almost all of the season so far so to drop out of it at this stage of the campaign will be a bitter blow to Martin O'Neill.
Despite seemingly having had a good season Villa's home form has not been great - they have won only 5 games from 17 to date, they will be looking to improve that home record tonight against a Hull team who haven't looked like winning a game anywhere for weeks now. Neither side are in great form at the moment, Villa haven't won in their last nine league games and Hull have won only once since that infamous half time teamtalk on the pitch at Manchester City on Boxing Day.
With form like that it's hard to back either side, an alternative bet could be under 2.5 goals at 11/10 with both Ladbrokes and Totesport assuming that Hull might be happy to sit back and hope to hold out for a point and taking Villa's less than impressive home form into consideration.
Hull can be backed to be relegated at a best priced 15/8 with Coral.
