Semi-Finals are live tonight on Sky Sports 1 at 7.30 pm
Match 1 - Raymond van Barneveld V Simon Whitlock
Simon Whitlock (with obvious exception of Phil Taylor) is the form man in this years competition, seeing off Colin Osborne, Wayne Jones, Terry Jenkins and James Wade on his way to tonights semi-final, showing just how strong the competition in the PDC has become.
His reward for coming through this tough schedule is a showdown with the world number 2 Raymond van Barneveld. Barney hasn't looked himself so far in this tournament, although that hasn't prevented him from doing a nine darter. Ronnie Baxter was expected to give him a tough examination yesterday, but Barney came through an easy 5-0 winner.
Like James Wade found out yesterday, Barney must know that if he turns up with anything less than his 'A' game, his chances of reaching the final will be very slim.
Simon Whitlock is slight favourite at a best price of 5/6 with Boylesports.
Raymond van Barneveld is 11/10 with Blue Square, Betfred, Bet365, 888Sport, Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, Totesport, VC Bet and William Hill.
Match 2 - Phil Taylor V Mark Webster
Mark Webster was impressive in his victory over Co Stompe, he raced into a 4-0 lead and then held his nerve to close out a 5-3 victory after Stompe fought back to make it 4-3.
Phil Taylor simply looks destined to win this competition again, he demolished Adrian Lewis 5-0 in his quarter-final last night. Although the scoreline suggests a good thrashing for Lewis, he didn't actually play that bad, it just goes to show just how strong Taylor is.
Mark Webster is good enough to cause an upset, but the way Taylor is playing you wouldn't give him a chance. Would I put any money on Webster? No chance.
Phil Taylor is 1/25 with William Hill, he is as short as 1/100 with some bookmakers.
Mark Webster is 16/1 with Sky Bet.
